Despite advances in intraocular surgeries, endophthalmitis still remains a vision threatening nightmare because of delayed diagnosis and delayed management. This course will cover preoperative protocols, preparation and surgical steps to minimize risk of postoperative infection. Topics will include differentiation of TASS from infection, varied Clinical Presentations, intravitreal injection of antibiotics and vitrectomy : timing, technique, extent. There will be extensive use of real life case scenarios, videos to facilitate interaction between attendees and faculty. At conclusion of course, the attendees will take away practical pearls from experts so as to manage this condition condently by timely diagnosis and safe intravitreal injection of antibiotics, and salvaging these eyes.
