IC520 – MODIFIED SMALL INCISION CATARACT SURGERY TO GIVE COMPARABLE RESULT LIKE PHACO-EMULSIFICATION

Dr. Ragini Hasmukuray Parekh [P10550] – Mumbai

SICS is always commented that it induces astigmatism and foldable iol can’t be implanted. But slight modification
can reduce astigmatism to minimum. With expertise it is possible to implant foldable iol in sics also. Prechop of nucleus can help to reduce the size of incision will be demonstrated in the course. soft nucleus can be remove from less than 4 mm incision will video demonstrated in the course. This IC will demonstrate removal of all type of cataract from small incision where incision will be constructed astigmatically neutral by geometrical construction of wound. Hypermature cataract, nuclear cataract etc will be demontrated for optimal management to give better results. also complications occurred will be also demonstrated for the management.
