Ocular trauma is major cause of visual impairment.Modern surgical techniques have transformed management & salvaged many previously hopeless cases. Aim:Demonstrate vitreo-retinal management techniques in complicated trauma cases. Method:Video-based review of complicated trauma cases, we are discussing VR surgeon role in surgical management by presenting surgical video of VR techinques in 1)PCR – anterior vitreactomy with IOL implantation in bag or sulcus.2)Insufficient bag support–posterior dislocation of traumatic cataract–pars plana vitrectomy & phacofragmentation.3)hard nucleus in vitreous.4)NO bag support -SFIOL–four point touch technique.5)intra-ocular foreign body removal.6)applying endolaser for traumatic retinal tear. Conclusion: Every trauma case is different & flexible surgical approach based on pre-op findings & intra-op scenario & VR skills available is recommended. Though many surprises may pop-up during surgery;with proper technique, functional visual outcome is achieved.
