In this video I am going to describe a new technique of Scleral fixation I have named it “Anchored IOL.” Essentially it involves doing a Scleral fixation with minimal invasion. There are no hassles of construction of Scleral flaps, hence no glue is required to seal the flaps. I had innovated this technique while I was operating upon a patient who had a multi piece PC IOL displaced posteriorly to the CTR bag complex. This simple technique of anchored IOL and can be adopted at any point of time during the course of the surgery whenever there is a capsulo-zonular problem. Thus making Scleral fixation hassle free, cost effective and requiring very simple instrumentation. Anyone can adopt this technique for scleral fixation both as a planned technique as well as during emergency situations.
