AIM: Video demonstration of our methodology and efficacy of ice test and neostigmine test in clinical diagnosis of myasthenia.

Methods: 1.A 14yr female pt presented with B/L ptosis and complete external ophthalmoplegia, clinically suspicious of myasthenia by typical history and clinical features diagnosed using ice test(2 min) and then neostigmine test(0.5mg iv). 2. A 60 yr old patient presented with RE ptosis since 4 months. On typical history suspicious of myasthenia, ice test and neostigmine tests were performed. Based on positive results of neostigmine test, these patients were given oral pyridostigmine and corticosteroids. Clinical and symptomatological improvements were seen in when followed up for 6 months.

Result: Neostigmine is freely available, relatively cheap and because of very few complications related to test, it is very much valuable test in clinical diagnosis of myasthenia.
