FP740 : A Rare Case Report of Angiomatoid Fibrous Histiocytoma of Lacrimal Sac Area

Dr. Bharat Gurnani, Dr. Dayakar Yadalla, Dr. Jayagayathri Rajagopalan, Dr. Kirandeep Kaur

A young male presented with complaints of painless swelling over the sac area in right eye since 3 months. Mass excision with Dacryocystectomy was performed which showed friable red mass suspicious of Rhinosporidiosis  of lacrimal sac which on histopathological evaluation showed tumour tissue spindle cells in fascicles, interspersed chronic inflammatory cells, vascular proliferation, areas of hemorrhage and fibrosis suggestive of Angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma (Intermediate grade).A young male presented with complaints of painless swelling over the sac area in right eye since 3 months. Discussion-  Fibrohistiocytoma commonly involves orbit.  Its a tumour of mesenchymal cell origin that may be benign or malignant. FH typically shows a biphasiccell population of histiocytes and fibroblasts, presence of multinucleate giant cells , abundant vascularity and an inflammatory infiltrate.
