FP823 : Repeatability of Corneal Curvature Measurements Using the Pentacam and Keratron Topography Systems

Dr. Akanksha Darda, Dr. Parmar Gautam Singh, Dr. Ashok Kumar Meena, Dr. Sachin Arya

PURPOSE:To compare repeatability of corneal curvature measurements using Pentacam and Keratron corneal

METHODS:In this cross sectional study, Axial topography maps were used to acquire measurements. 2 measurements of each 72 eyes were measured on both instruments to determine repeatability.

RESULTS:The intra-class correlation topographer . coefficient for all power vectors was greater than 0.9 for each instrument, indicative of excellent repeatability. The keratometry for the central 3.0 mm of the Pentacam was statistically significantly lower than that of Keratron (P<0.05).

CONCLUSIONS:Both devices show almost perfect repeatability in healthy subjects. However, keratometry values of the two devices should not be used interchangeably.
