We all know in present era phaco & femto are latest techniques with very good qualitative results but question is can we overcome the huge backlog of cataract in community with these costly techniques.To get quantitative out come we have to depend on SICS which is economical & requires less skill.
Aim of bringing down the prevalence of blindness from 1.00 at present to 0.34 by 2020 can only be possible by cheap techniques like Small incision cataract surgery in developing country like INDIA where resources are limited & we have to take care of our social responsibility for community also beside earning our bread & butter.
