Trauma to ocular and extra ocular structures can lead to a wide spectrum of tissue involvement ranging from supercial to deep and vision threatening lesions. A systematic approach in diagnosing and categorizing the ocular trauma into closed or open globe injuries and its sub classication has created a standardization in ocular trauma management. In this instruction course, we present management of pediatric trauma and its future rehabilitation methods. We also would brief about post operative complications like endophthalmitis and long term sequelae like sympathetic ophthalmitis. The sooner and ner the repair, the better the visual outcome.
