The course aims to Cataract surgery is the commonest surgery performed by Ophthalmologists and phaco is the procedure of choice.Out of total Ophthalmologists in India,there are many who are still doing either SICS or ECCE and are not conversant with phacoemulsification.This course is aimed at providing concise, brief and to the point instruction in phaco techniques for the learning surgeons and will be useful to all those who want to start phaco or are very new in it. Every steps of phacoemulsification right from incision to IOL implantation will be covered.Most of the discussions in present days CMEs revolve around fourth generation phaco
machines, advanced IOL materials and techniques. However, it is a thorough knowledge of basic techniques that lays the foundation for graduating to advanced methods and avoiding complications. We are sure this course will benefit each and every Ophthalmologist who wants to take his journey as phacosurgeon.
