FP381 : Trends in Cataract Surgery Over Last Decade at a Tertiary Centre

Dr. Sunita Kumawat, K17209, Dr. Anju Kochar

The purpose of our study was to see the trends in cataract surgery in last 10 years (2006 – 2015) at tertiary centre.
This was a retrospective study of patients who underwent cataract surgery at tertiary centre in north west Rajasthan. Study period was from January 2006 to December 2015.

FP556 : A Comparison of Visual Outcome after Implantation of Monofocal IOL and Trifocal IOL – A Pilot Study

Dr. Brig (Mrs) Sagarika Patyal, P05829, Dr. Poninder Kumar Dogra

Phacoemulsification with monofocal IOL [ZEISS CT ASPHINA 603P(GROUP-1)] and a trifocal IOL [AT LISA TRI 839MP (Group 2)] by standard technique. Outcome measures were uncorrected distance visual acuity, corrected monocular and binocular distance visual acuity, uncorrected near visual acuity at 40 cm, contrast sensitivity, presence of dysphotopsia.

FP653 : Art of Kissing & Peeling for Shining Posterior Capsule

Dr. Sudhir Kumar Parwani, P02240, Dr. O P Agrawal

Cataracts with post.capsular palque & post.subcapsular fibrous thickening are the challenging cases for all Cat surgeons.Management of post.capsular plaque & post.subcapsular fibrous thickening r done in 3 different ways depending upon type of capsular opacity

FP766 : Comparison of Post-Op Surgically Induced Astigmatism in Msics with Straight Versus Frown Incision

Dr. Shayana Bhumbla, B18713, Dr. Kirti Jain, Dr. Malik K P S, Dr. Virendra Kumar Malik, Dr. Amol Bansal

Comparison of postoperative SIA in MSICS with straight versus frown incison. Material & methods- 50 patients of cataract were divided into 2groups(25each)- group A underwnt MSICS with 6mm staright incision, groupB- underwent MSICS with 6mm frown incision. BCVA,keratometry readings were recorded- preop, at 1week, 1month, 3month and SIA was calculated with SIA calculator version 2.1,a free software program.

FP771 : Intralenticular Metallic Foreign Body: A Case Report

Dr. Prasenjit Kalita, K18752, Dr. Baby Deka

INTRODUCTION-INTRALENTICULAR FOREIGN BODIES COMPRISES ABOUT 5% TO 10% OF ALL INTRAOCULAR FOREIGN BODIES AND CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS COMPLICATIONS.IN MOST CASES LENS BECOME OPAQUE DUE TO FORMATION OF TRAUMATIC CATARACT AND PATIENT REQUIRE CATARACT SURGERY FOR VISUAL REHABILITATION .

FP822 : Phacolytic Glaucoma: A Lot Can Be Salvaged

Dr. Sumitro Saha, S09339

Phacolytic glaucoma is an acute clinical condition caused by leakage of high molecular weight lens protein from hyper-mature cataracts into the anterior and posterior chambers of the eye which blocks the trabecular meshwork leading to high intraocular pressure and also elicits severe inflammatory reaction

FP848 : Refractive Outcomes of Manual Sics Operated on Steep Axis

Dr. Kunwar Vikram Singh Dhaliwal, D13036, Dr. Ranjit Singh Dhaliwal

It’s a proven fact that Manual SICS has SIA more than Phaco, but when the same surgery is performed with incision on steep axis, the SIA neutralizes the pre-existing corneal astigmatism, thus improving the refractive results of the surgery.
